Awareness Generation Programmes

Himalayan Nature and Adventure Foundation
Covid Awareness: The year 2020-21 witnessed a severe crisis as Covid 19 broke out throughout the world. The deaths, and health hazards along with economic and social hazards kept all of us under serious pressure and HNAF put forward itself to fight with it. HNAF organized several awareness programs regularly in local markets and crowded areas to bring awareness among people about wearing masks, keeping physical distances, hygiene issues and mental blockages. We are backed and supported by the reputed Doctors of Siliguri and other welfare organizations.

Anti Plastic Movement:  Named as “Beat Plastic Pollution” HNAF undertook this movement to reduce the use of      single use plastic carry bags and bottles in the region and to create awareness among the local milieu about its pollution to air and soil with an enthusiastic, dynamic and highly effective team. The team visited local markets and bazaars in regular basis and raised its voice against environmental pollution and aware people about the notice generated by Green Tribunal.

Water Conservation: As the withdrawal of fresh water from an ecosystem should not exceed its natural replacement rate, water conservation encompasses the policies, strategies and activities to manage fresh water as a sustainable resource to protect water environment and to meet current and future human demand. HNAF took it as its goal and utilize every opportunity to propagate the message of water conservation, be it our camps, programs along with school children, adventure courses, and other awareness programs.

Anti Cracker Rally and Awareness on Sound and Air pollution: Himalayan Nature and Adventure Foundation organizes an awareness rally from the year 2016 named as “Utsab Hok Alor, Bandho Hok Atoshbaji” to aware people about the sound and air pollution caused by the fire crackers before Diwali and other festivals. The smoke and sound also cost birds and animals their health and life. The rally contains colourful placards and slogans and includes school children and youth to grab the attention of younger ones and resulted in great positive outcome.
