These children have special needs, but they have a need in common with others and perhaps in a higher degree to be in communion with nature.

Apart from our regular activities HNAF continuously over the last 29 years dedicatedly organized Nature Study Cum Adventure Camp for Challenged Children and Youth participating from different parts of the country.Participants of different categories of disabilities take part in this camp. Every year the camp held in the lush green hilly area of Northern part of West Bengal from 18th to 23rd December.

A great deal of effort is devoted in making them overcome their disabilities and enjoy the beauty and the resources of nature i.e flora, fauna and other wealth of nature. They would be exposed to natural surroundings and outdoor life in the spirit of adventure. According to their individual need and ability, camp craft, hiking, jungle trekking etc. would be taught. They will also have a chance to learn about local inhabitants, their customs, culture etc. There are scopes to observe and study nature and to understand the environment with reference to ecology and conservation.
