  1. Annual Nature Study cum Adventure Camp for Challenged Children & Youth

In this worldwide movement to bring the children and youth close to nature we feel that vital section of them is being neglected “The Challenged Children”. These children have special needs, but they have a need in common with others and perhaps in a higher degree to be in communion with nature.

Apart from our regular activities HNAF continuously over the last 29 years dedicatedly organized Nature Study Cum Adventure Camp for Challenged Children and Youth participating from different parts of the country.Participants of different categories of disabilities take part in this camp. Every year the camp held in the lush green hilly area of Northern part of West Bengal from 18th to 23rd December.

A great deal of effort is devoted in making them overcome their disabilities and enjoy the beauty and the resources of nature i.e flora, fauna and other wealth of nature. They would be exposed to natural surroundings and outdoor life in the spirit of adventure. According to their individual need and ability, camp craft, hiking, jungle trekking etc. would be taught. They will also have a chance to learn about local inhabitants, their customs, culture etc. There are scopes to observe and study nature and to understand the environment with reference to ecology and conservation. Training would be imparted by our team of specially trained guides and instructors. Certificate of Merit and Badge will be awarded to each successful camper along with performance report.

  1. Annual Nature Study cum Adventure Camp for Boys & Girls

Every year the camp held in the lush green hilly area of Northern part of West Bengal from 25th to 30th December. Any boy or girl between 5 yrs to below 15 yrs of age can participate.  the participants will be motivated to surpass their own limits.

During the camp they would be exposed to natural surroundings and outdoor life in the spirit of adventure. According to their individual need and ability, camp craft, hiking, jungle trekking etc. would be taught. They will also have a chance to learn about local inhabitants, their customs, culture etc. There are scopes to observe and study nature and to understand the environment with reference to ecology and conservation. Training would be impacted by our team of specially trained guides and instructors. Certificate of merit and badge will be awarded to each successful camper along with Performance report.

  1. Annual Nature Study cum Adventure Camp for Visually Challenged Children & Youth

Every year the camp use to hold at Garumara Tents, Murti, Garumara National Park. Visually challenged children from different parts of the country participated in this camp. This camp use to held in the month of February or march.

According to the individual need and ability, camp craft, hiking, jungle trekking etc. would be taught. Participants will also have a chance to learn about local inhabitants, their customs, culture etc. There are scopes to observe and study nature and to understand the environment with reference to ecology and conservation.

  1. Annual Summer Nature Study cum Adventure Camp for Boys & Girls

Every year the camp held in the lush green hilly area of Northern part of West Bengal in the month of may or june for 3 nights 4 days. Any boy or girl between 7 yrs to below 15 yrs of age can participate.

During the camp they would be exposed to natural surroundings and outdoor life in the spirit of adventure. According to their individual need and ability, camp craft, hiking, jungle trekking etc. would be taught. They will also have a chance to learn about local inhabitants, their customs, culture etc. There are scopes to observe and study nature and to understand the environment with reference to ecology and conservation. Training would be impacted by our team of specially trained guides and instructors. Certificate of merit and badge will be awarded to each successful camper along with Performance report

  1. Annual Adventure Trekking Camping Course

Adventure Trekking Camping Course is an annual event of HNAF. This course offers a unique opportunity to discover the wilderness of North Bengal with higher degree of adventure. It develops self confidence and firsthand experience to understand our ecology & environment. During the camping days the participants will have to make their own shelter & cook food. They will be taught the technique of camp craft, art of trekking, nature study, map reading, adventure planning, survival techniques, etc. Etc. All the participants will be awarded with certificate & badge on completion of the course successfully. Usually This camp use to hold for 5nights & 6days. Necessary training, knowledge is imparted by a team of experts, well known for their knowledge, skill & experience in their respective fields Any boy or girl within the age of 15 to 40 yrs having previous experience in mountaineering, trekking, camping or any other allied adventure activities can apply for participation.

  1. Guide training Course

A guide is one of the most important pillars of  a camp. Starting from prior arrangements to windup, guides are fully engaged with each and every work of the camp. For that, it is very important to train a guide properly so that a camp can be completed successfully and safely.

HNAF has arranged this Guide training course for 2 times where the guides are trained to make a campsite suitable for both general & special Children, to prearrange and conduct adventure activities like zip line, rock climbing, Burma Bridge etc, to do nature study & most importantly to handle campers delicately and to enhance their interest towards nature and adventure.
